Vision
Our team is fascinated by bird migration. We have been studying the biology and ecology of migratory birds for six decades while monitoring their populations with teams of national and international collaborators. We not only teach future ornithologists, teachers, conservationists and environmental consultants, but also share our passion by disseminating knowledge about bird migration among nature lovers in Poland and elsewhere in the world, because we understand the importance of public awareness for the efficient conservation of birds and their environment.
We aim to extend our stature as a leading research and teaching centre in Poland and at international level, specialising in studies of migratory birds and in the monitoring of their populations. Our activities are aimed at improving the understanding of bird migration and so contributing to the efficient conservation of birds in Poland and throughout the world.
